Nestor can be described as a true “renaissance man”. A former competitive athlete in Rugby and Outrigger Canoeing, he also loves to talk about film, music, art, linguistics, hockey, baseball, politics, current events….and the list goes on. He facilitates a group at the South Hill Neighbourhood House where dads and men can talk about the challenges of parenthood and ways they can become better supports for their partners.
I started training with Nestor when I was terrified to enter the gym. He made me feel so comfortable with his solid encouragement, persistence in challenging me in healthy ways, and total acceptance that all bodies are good bodies. I’ve learned so much from Nestor as he helped me grow in an embodied confidence and helped me through my weight loss, adapted for my injuries, and supported the physical part of managing anxiety. I can’t thank him enough!
